There is confusion about what thought leadership is.

Too many people make it about a self-declared expert's self-importance. Or how many Twitter or Instagram followers someone has.

It's none of that.

It is something you do. And thought leadership marketing is done on purpose. It doesn't happen by accident.

Let's make it easy and call it O.M.I.

Influence.

So, yeah, it is pronounced just like "Oh, my".

Like, "Oh, my ... this campaign is working like a champ." or "Oh my God, this company is growing like a weed."

Or, "Oh. My stats on this web campaign aren't looking great, so it's time to do something different." That something different is probably thought leadership marketing.
